Paradise Underground, The Watermelons, Buddha Blood

This July, Absent Kelly Presents returns to Smiths in super cool Spitalfields, for a night of fantastic emerging Alternative Indie Rock from around the UK.

Topping the evening’s bill is Paradise Underground. Paradise Underground are a Buckinghamshire based four piece that play fast paced Indie Rock. The band have already made a name for themselves on their local scene, playing a number of festivals recently in their local area. The band have also recently branched out to London, playing at well renowned venues including the Dublin Castle and the Black Heart.

They will also be joined by The Watermelons. This quartet play super cool Indie and played all over the shop last year, including a number of festival slots at Victorious Festival, Redfest and Jamie Oliver’s Big Festival and can count Tom Odell and Blur’s Alex James among their fans.

Travelling to London for the show are Brighton band, Buddha Blood. This five piece play psychedelic Indie rock, reminiscent of Temples, with a touch of Beck thrown in. They have played their overdriven, dirty indie to crowds at some of Brighton’s best known underground venues, including Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar and the Joker.
