Hofesh Shechter Company

From the darkness of Hofesh Shechter's emotive and often angry world emerges a bright white light dancing out of the smoke and chaos. After the phenomenal Political Mother comes Sun.

In great international demand as a choreographer, Shechter currently has work in the repertoires of Nederlands Dans Theater, Batsheva and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. He is now returning to create with his own full-time company of 14 dancers who are recognised as one of the world's leading ensembles.

Shechter is acclaimed for his atmospheric music scores and several of the long-standing members of his band have played on the eclectic electronic soundtrack for Sun. Once again, he is working with his close collaborator Lee Curran, the Olivier Award-nominated lighting designer, to continue the company's iconic visual aesthetic.

Shechter says: 'After touring internationally, I'm excited to be back in the UK with my new work Sun. I'm really looking forward to taking the show on the road and performing to audiences up and down the country'.
