Domestic Abuse - Everyone's Problem

Join this discussion on why domestic abuse persists and what needs to be done to end it.

Every year, on average, half a million women are sexually assaulted or raped – and two women in Britain die at the hands of a partner or former partner each week.

In this session, they consider how the plans to remove refugees from the welfare system could affect women, and the measures that are in place to protect women.

There is a special discussion of the extreme difficulties faced by refugees and helplines right now, with guest speakers who run these services.

In partnership with the End Violence Against Women Coalition (EVAW).
