Many people are in sexless relationships or in relationships heading that way, but why is that? Is it down to the usual suspects – kids, tiredness and relationships past the two year sell by date?

Google searches for ‘sexless marriage’ are three and a half times more common than ‘unhappy marriage’ and ‘sexless relationship’ is the second most popular search term when searching the word ‘relationship’, according to global data company Nielsen.

But how did we get here and should sex make or break a relationship? Are we sex obsessed? How do you express to your partner that your sexual desires are different to theirs, and can you overcome this?
