An Evening With King Crimson - Celebrating 50 Years

English prog royalty King Crimson will celebrate their 50th Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019.

The band returned to live performance in 2014 with critically acclaimed sell-out shows all over the world, including two defining shows at the Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii. King Crimson are now bringing their unique show to the Hall for these three exclusive UK shows. You can expect to hear material from twelve of their studio albums, including many of the songs from their seminal 1969 release In The Court of the Crimson King.

King Crimson’s newfound wider appeal began when Kanye West’s sampled one of the band’s masterpieces, 21st Century Schizoid Man for his 2010 hit Power. More recently, Starless featured as the soundtrack of the opening scenes of Nicholas Cage’s 2018 film Mandy.

King Crimson is led by founding guitarist Robert Fripp. Fripp has led the band through more than three decades of musical experimentation that completely pushes the structure of rock, jazz and classical music to its limits. King Crimson has enjoyed some measure of commercial popularity over the years and it's fan base is primarily a diehard cult, though regular touring has broadened the band's appeal.
