Never miss another 'Eric Clapton' show
Eric Clapton + Gary Clark Jr
Celebrating his 50th year as a professional musician, Eric Clapton has announced a limited number of 2013 UK concerts, including five nights at London's Royal Albert Hall. These concerts will mark his return to the stage after spending 2012 in the studio working on a new album, set for release in early 2013.
Clapton has assembled an impressive band for the 2013 dates which will consist of long-time touring partners: Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Steve Jordan (drums), Chris Stainton (piano and keyboards), and Willie Weeks (bass), along with newcomers Paul Carrack (organ and keyboards) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar). Michelle John and Sharon White will join the touring band again as backing vocalists.
This event takes place at Royal Albert Hall, which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Blues and rock guitar legend who ranked fourth in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time'. After signing with the Yardbirds in 1963, Clapton began a career as a professional musician that has seen numerous bands, an abundance of albums, countless worldwide sold out shows, an impressive array of accolades, unwavering critical acclaim and his consistent display of legendary guitar work.

Taking up guitar at age twelve, Clark quickly found his way into the fertile Austin scene, taken under the wing of long-time club owner and artists advocate Clifford Antone and such local stalwarts as Jimmie Vaughan. Antone put the youngster on stage with such blues giants as James Cotton and Hubert Sumlin.
Vaughan and others taught him about moving beyond the legends, both going back to the originators who influenced them, but also embracing the spirit of innovation that separated such groundbreakers as Cream and the Stones from the crowd.
He made the most of the support and became such a shining presence that Austin declared a “Gary Clark Jr. Day” in his honour while he was still in his teens. And by 2007 he was named the city's best blues artist and rock guitarist at the Austin Music Awards. In fact, he's won those same categories every year ever since.
