A screening of Fritz Lang’s Destiny (Der müde Tod) (1921) set to an original score by composer and pianist Dmytro Morykit, as part of our as part of our Festival Of Film.

Destiny is a very personal work, through which Lang considers mortality and the power of love to defy it. Cited by Hitchcock and Buñuel as a direct influence on their work, the stunning imagery evokes both horror and surprising affection.

Morykit adds a truly moving and reflective layer, drawing on the film’s universal themes and bringing music and image together to create an inimitable experience.
