Accidental Festival: Hands Across The Sea

How do people communicate over distance? And how did colonialism open up more distance between people while making the world a smaller place?

Artsist Nina Feldman sent 200 postcards to street addresses named after Queen Victoria to over 54 countries of the Commonwealth. The responses have been made into a one-woman show, Hands Across The Sea that explores distance, communication and belonging.

What will they have to say? Will they respond at all? And how will Nina make their responses into a performance?
