Ian Shaw

Shaw - who has worked with Quincy Jones, Cleo Laine, Kurt Elling, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Guy Barker, Jimmy Webb, Madeline Bell and Cedar Walton, brings his powerful quartet, featuring one of the UK's finest guitarists, Dave Preston. These shows will feature new takes on David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Bacharach and David, Leonard Cohen, as well as featuring songs from his recent releases.

Shaw recently released two critically, highly-praised albums - the funky, pop-drenched ‘Greek Street Friday’ ('urgency, vulnerability and always humanity' The Scotsman) and the recent ‘An Adventurous Dream: The Music of Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington.’ with saxophonist, Tony Kofi ('a powerful collaboration' **** Jazzwise).
