Ensemble Denada, Arild Andersen

Ensemble Denada Is a gathering of some of Norway’s best jazz soloists and ensemble players. The ensemble’s first release on the German label ACT in 2006 featuring compositions by Helge Sunde attracted ecstatic reviews in the international jazz press, and the band received the prestigious German Echo Jazz Award for its second album in 2011.

The 14-piece Ensemble Denada have appeared world-wide including an acclaimed performance at the 2012 London Jazz Festival as part of a double-bill as mentored by BBC Radio 3 with Manchester’s leading big band/electronica ensemble Beats & Pieces - the two ensembles actually combining to great effect on one number!
