The Late Late Show

Allison Neale

Allison is a skilful multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on either alto saxophone or flute, and as such has found herself in great demand as a member of numerous big bands and as a backing musician. She is heavily influenced by the West Coast sound of Art Pepper, with whom she is often compared, along with other Cool School giants such as Lee Konitz and Paul Desmond. 'Allison Neale plays the alto saxophone with a tone so light and airy it positively melts at the edges' (Dave Gelly, Observer) 'A talent to savour' (Peter Vacher, Jazz UK).
