Welcome to the Crick Crack Club’s alternative Tarot! Four acclaimed storytellers explore the great archetypes of Story, in an evening of performance and conversation.
Clare Murphy, Jan Blake, Jordan Campbell and Ben Haggarty, deal the 5th and final tarot card in the series: the Sovereign, and its shadow, the Tyrant. From bored princes, to haughty queens, to kings that imagine themselves to be Gods - where does the authority really lie?
When the Sovereign is sick, the land is sick. When the Sovereign is healthy, the land is healthy… Iron fists, disguised monarchs, gentle rulers, young pretenders all fall under the spotlight. After all, wouldn’t all our inner kingdoms benefit from a little maintenance?
