Exstatica

Ecstasy // exalted pleasure so intense rational thought and self-control gets lost – physically, sexually, spiritually.

Michael Nyman's erotic 8 Lust Songs caused a stir at its premiere in 2008. The sexually explicit lyrics proved too much for management who banned the sale of the concert programme. Not this time… Marie Angel, who premiered the piece, returns and the words will be shown on screen for the first time.

Michael Nyman is a world renowned film composer best-known for his music to The Piano, The Draughtsman's Contract and The End of the Affair.

Plus works by Michael Torke, Schoenberg and a hi-NRG acoustic twist on the Pet Shop Boys hit 'I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing'.

This event contains sexually explicit material and is suitable for audiences aged 18 and over.
