Brave

Interviewed live on-stage, by revered journalist and co-founder of The Pool, Sam Baker, Rose McGowan will explore the realities of exposing the truth about the inequality and injustice of the entertainment industry and shining a light on a multi-billion-dollar business built on systemic misogyny. How can we dismantle the concept of ‘fame’? How do we continue to maintain the strength required to be Brave?

The past 18 months have been an incredibly turbulent time in McGowan’s life, but her most recent and public experiences are only the very tip of the iceberg, and certainly not the most interesting or formative events in Rose’s life. Born and raised in one cult, The Children of God, McGowan came of age in another, more visible cult: Hollywood. In this strange world where she was continually on display and expected to be silent and cooperative, McGowan rebelled and asserted her true identity.

Now looking positively into the future, McGowan has immersed herself in her work as a writer, director and music artist, re-emerging in her own unique, courageous, controversial & fiercely unapologetic way.

BRAVE with Rose McGowan is set to be a thought-provoking evening of raw, honest and important conversation from the voice of a generation and one that will be remembered for many thereafter.
