O'Higgins & Luft Piano Quintet

Saxophonist Dave O’Higgins & guitarist Rob Luft may be more than a generation apart, yet are very much of one musical mind. Now recording their 3rd album together live at PizzaExpress, they will present 2 different groups of musicians they have been touring with extensively since 2019 with rapturous audience receptions. The 2nd night is a quintet lineup with the effortlessly virtuosic piano of Jim Watson, sublimely joyous groove of bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado, and hip contemporary swing of Billy Pod on drums. The leaders will be presenting some new original tunes demonstrating the breadth of their experiences and influences.
