'That's exactly my point, Lizzie. Honest to God, it's like I'm talkin' to a child!'

23rd May 2015. Ireland celebrates a yes vote in favour of same-sex marriage while reclusive sisters Lizzie and Janette are saying the angelus in their timeworn home in East Wall, Dublin. A glimpse into this new Ireland, however, sparks a curiosity within Lizzie daring her to reconnect with an old friend, Alice.

But at 74 years of age, and with a condemning sister by her side, how much is Lizzie able to accept the truth about their relationship?
