Afropunk Takeover Brixton
A global institution recognised for celebrating unity, creativity and heritage in the music world for over 14 years, Afropunk is a triumph of multiculturalism and diversity for people of all races, genders, colours, creeds and tastes.
Headlining the Afropunk London Saturday 8th September show at O2 Academy Brixton is US collective August Greene (Robert Glasper, Common, & Karriem Riggins), performing with special guest Laura Mvula. Embodying the Aforpunk spirit, poet, scholar and activist, Akala will also join, as well as guest support Bakar, the rockstar on the rise fusing native grime inspired sounds with a punkish DIY attitude.
