Lilah Fowler: Which Pixel am I Standing on?

Lilah Fowler's new work explores the architecture of the Internet and digital space. In utilizing the gallery website to exhibit an artwork, rather than having a physical presence within the gallery walls, what becomes the meaning of tangibility in this infinite plane, and how do objects and structures exist there?

The Internet is an invention that may have infinite dimensions- it correlates to reality but is also plastic in a different way, and Fowler sets out to consider this newly mapped domain, and our sense of location within it. With the potential of materiality and space transformed through the move from a physical environment to a virtual one, the work will draw an interlinking web of unseen boundaries. Fowler allows for a cognitive perception of space; untethered to space and material, the work becomes infinite.
