The world's first show based on coming-outstories premiered to huge acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has since delighted audiences on tour around the UK. Now it comes to the West End for the first time, in an exclusive one-night gala presentation in aid of the LGBT+ helpline charity Switchboard.
This powerful, funny and confessional collation of over 20 true-life tales was created by award-winning writers following an online campaign for submissions that was supported by Stephen Fry amongst many others. The gala will see each story told by a different performer, and the cast of over 20 includes Switchboard patron Mark Gatiss, comedians Rob Deering, Andrew Doyle, Zoe Lyons, Lizzie Roper, Camille Ucan and Tom Walker (aka Jonathan Pie), actors David Benson, Ian Hallard, Olivier Award winner Nichola McAuliffe, and many more yet to be announced.
Inspired by recent high-profile comings out by stars of stage, screen and sports, the show celebrates the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people from around the world, exploring how they came out and what effect it has had on them.
Directed by Tony Award winner David Grindley, produced by Olivier Award winner James Seabright and written by the team behind the hit West End play The Act.
