The first live performance of a new album from star saxophonist Marius Neset, created with the London Sinfonietta.
Inspired by soundworlds as diverse as Django Bates and Edvard Grieg, Neset’s music uses a palette of visceral instrumental sounds. This collaboration demands lightening virtuosity and then some, set against breathless, Scandinavian lyricism. A jazz quartet joins nineteen London Sinfonietta players, with Neset at their helm.
