India Electric Company appearing at this event

“Two of the most extraordinary musicians, a phenomenal duo” - BBC Radio 2 **** “Bursting with invention and full of surprises.” - The Telegraph **** “Their reeling, spinning sound corroborates the content of their songs which appear to be describing a life alive with motion. They are altogether a good thing, busy as rush hour but full of light.” - The Independent Sometimes folk, sometimes not. India Electric Company use traditional instruments in contemporary styles to explore diverse themes from Eastern Europe, Irish traditions and modern urban alienation to end up with something “quirky and glittery - a veritable musical magpie’s nest.” - BBC Radio 3. After releasing their debut debut album The Girl I Left Behind Me in 2015 they began extensively supporting and accompanying Midge Ure throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. With recent live sessions on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, performances at Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival, the duo are embarking on their own unique headline tours in association with the award winning Churches Conservation Trust and EFDSS (English Folk Dance and Song Society). A full studio album will be released in Spring 2020 to follow on from their innovative trilogy of EPs EC1M, Seven Sisters & Tablelands. **** “Exceptional talents.”- Songlines Magazine “This is sublime! If your troubles don’t melt away when you hear IEC then nothing will shift them. Beautiful, magical.” - Jeremy Vine “Fresh and gobsmacking!” - Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

Midge Ure's Band Electronica

Midge Ure's Band Electronica appearing at this event

Midge Ure's Band Electronica takes the Ultravox frontman back to his roots, reuniting with synthesisers and electric guitars. Midge says: "I want to revisit some material that I've not really been able to perform with the recent acoustic line up, so you can expect to hear songs that haven't been aired for a while as well as the classics and a couple of surprises! I've really enjoyed touring with a band and now I want to expand back to a four piece and return to a more electronic based format".
