Mary Chapin Carpenter
A truly great singer/songwriter who has received both popular and critical acclaim. With five Grammys under her belt, and 13 million albums sold, Mary Chapin Carpenter is a true star of country music. Her songs speak to the most personal of life's details and the most universal. Recently, she was honoured with the Americana Association's esteemed 'Spirit of Americana Free Speech in Music Award', which recognises artists who have used their work to raise awareness and promote free speech. Past recipients of the award include Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Joan Baez, Judy Collins and Steve Earle.

Julie tours with a top-class band including Éamon Doorley on bouzouki, Dubliner guitarist Tony Byrne, highland fiddler Duncan Chisholm and bodhrán champion Martin O'Neill.
