This event takes place at London Olympia, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Widely acknowledged as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world, Martin Simpson's interpretations of traditional songs are masterpieces of storytelling. His solo shows are intense, eclectic, spellbinding and deeply moving. His own song writing has produced some real gems, from the truck-stop epic Love Never Dies, to the profoundly moving Never Any Good. His career includes collaborations on stage and record with June Tabor, Kelly Joe Phelps, Jackson Browne, Danú, Martin Carthy, Cara Dillon and many more. Simpson is a very regular nominee in the BBC Folk Awards and received Musician of the Year in 2002 and 2005.

A Wolverhampton born singer / songwriter, Scott's musical past has seen him experiment with funk, indie, rock and soul, but his solo career has seen him take a more focused route towards folk and blues and he spent most of June 2006 supporting the Foo Fighters on their string of acoustic concerts across the UK.
With influences including The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Marc Bolan and Joe Satriani, his music is often likened to that of American singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley.

Sarah McQuaid’s voice has been likened to malt whiskey, melted chocolate and “honey poured into wine” (Minor 7th). Her new album Walking Into White (2015) is her most honest and adventurous work to date, with a depth and texture of soundscape that are reflected in her beautifully crafted live shows. A captivating performer, she seduces her audience with cheeky banter and stories from the road, as well as with stunning musicianship; in her hands, the guitar becomes much more than merely an accompanying instrument.
Born in Spain, raised in Chicago and now living in rural England, Sarah refuses to be pigeonholed, segueing easily from one of her emotive originals into a 1930s Cuban jazz number, a 16th century lute piece or an unexpected contemporary cover. Her third solo album The Plum Tree And The Rose (2012) drew critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic: “Impeccable,” wrote fRoots (UK), while Midwest Record (USA) called it “low key but glorious and incendiary” and Hot Press (Ireland) said it “should feature on many end-of-year best-ofs.”
“Likely to make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.” - Aled Jones, BBC Radio 2
“A world class talent ... burns with a brilliant allure.” - Living Tradition
