Robert Mitchell is an award winning pianist, composer, bandleader, teacher, and poet. He has released 13 albums, and has leads the bands Epiphany 3 and TRUE THINK. His latest release in 2024 is a solo piano improvisation ep - A Study (In The Key Of Now) on 577 Records (NYC).
Robert Mitchell's Epiphany 3
Original material and funky jazz tunes from one of the most exciting of the UK's young jazz composers. The Robert Mitchell Trio have marked out a singular territory and sound in the trio format, honing their mix of influences of odd metre, broken beat, hiphop, freeform jazz and folk with older and more modern jazz. Trio's debut album 'The Greater Good', won the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Award for Best Jazz Album in 2009.
