Anything (Work In Progress): Ian Smith
Ian Smith (BBC2’s Popatron, Sky’s Officially Special) is an award-
winning stand-up comedian who may or may not have a beard, depending on work commitments. At the age of 24, Ian Smith cannot drive and can only just about swim. However, he is a fantastic walker, competent cyclist and frequent user of public transport – so tends to get about places with relative ease.
The time has come for Ian Smith to pull his socks up, to an almost uncomfortable height, and go up to the Edinburgh Festival with his debut hour. This is a work-in-progress of that show. It will be about childhood and still being young and not knowing what to talk about.

One of the new crop of emerging acts, Ian Smith employs a careful, unhurried delivery that conceals a nicely pointed attitude with a sack full of neat gags to match.
'Fantastically funny' (The Times)
'Star of the future' (Time Out).
'... delightfully offbeat writing, a mastery of phrasing and summons up some fine comic images. A talent, for sure' (http://www.chortle.co.uk).
Winner of the 'People's Champion Award' at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 with his show 'Snowflake'.
