The Communion Xmas Party returns to Lafayette on Friday 8th December.
This year’s Communion All Stars band features Bear’s Den, Christof Van Der Ven, Jack Garratt, James Bay, Jasmine Jethwa, Lucia & the Best Boys, Maisie Peters and The Staves, all performing ‘Non Xmas music from your favourite non Xmas films.’
Plus support from Nectar Woode. All proceeds donated to War Child.
Please note some artist performances are part of a group and not individual artist performances.
The Bear's Den story is something of a fairytale, opening with the truly bewitching Austin to Boston Communion Tour of the US in March of 2012, where they shared the stage with Nathaniel Rateliff, The Staves and Ben Howard. From there, the band traveled to a secluded cottage in the Welsh wilderness to record their eponymous debut EP. In keeping with their DIY ethos, the band did everything themselves, right down to stamping each EP with hand carved potato stamps. After a rapid succession of high-profile support tours, the stage was set up for Bear's Den to plunge into the deep end.

London-based singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jack Garratt combines electric guitar, drum machines, keyboards, and an R&B-friendly falsetto to fashion smooth, club-ready electro-pop. The critically acclaimed artist topped the BBC Sound of 2016 list. He has also won the Brits Awards Critics' Choice prize and the BBC Introducing trophy at the BBC Music Awards. "His sound is a mix of James Blake's swerving electronics, Pharrell's falsetto choruses and, occasionally, Future Islands' growl" - NME.
