JS Bach: The Late Lute Works
As with all his works for solo instruments, Bach’s late lute repertoire stretches technical and musical boundaries to their limits. In particular the magnificent Partita in C minor can lay claim to being the greatest masterpiece written for lute and one of the most important solo works written for any instrument.
Jakob Lindberg, whose recordings of Bach are considered definitive, makes a welcome return to the London stage to introduce and perform these rarely heard wonders.
