Coca-Cola celebrates the best of British with 182 official pin badges to celebrate London 2012London, July and August 2012: Visitors to London are flocking through the doors of Coca-Cola’s official pin trading centres at London’s Hyde Park and the Olympic Park to buy and swap highly collectable pin badges created to celebrate Olympic and Paralympic Games past and present.

Dubbed the ‘unofficial spectator sport of the Games’, Coca-Cola expects pin trading to reach fever pitch this summer, and its pin trading centres are the only place to officially trade pin badges. It’s a huge craze at Games time and millions of pins will be traded and added to prized collections during London 2012.

Visitors to Coca-Cola’s pin trading centres can buy highly collectable pins and trade them with professional pin traders from all over the world. Collectors who own some of the most sought after designs from as far back as the Berlin Games in 1936 will be on hand. First time collectors will be able to choose from their vast collections that include pins from Beijing, Sydney and Athens.

Coca-Cola is continuing the tradition of releasing highly collectable ‘pin of the day’ pin badges. The daily designs are only available at each of the official pin trading centres and can be combined together like a jigsaw puzzle to form the shape of the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle.

Coca-Cola’s range of 182 Olympic and Paralympic Games pin badges feature fun designs that celebrate typically British traits and traditions including Routemaster buses, butlers, bulldogs, and umbrellas. There are intricate pins that depict famous London landmarks, as well as iconic moments in British popular culture. The collection also includes pins to commemorate the Olympic Torch Relay that is currently making its way across the country, and the Special City Celebrations that are being hosted by Coca-Cola as Presenting Partner.

Coca-Cola pins can be bought online at www.cokestore2012.co.uk. All profits made by Coca-Cola through the sale of its licensed merchandise, including pin badges, will be given to Coca-Cola’s charity partner StreetGames to help to bring sport to 110,000 young people in some of the most deprived communities in the UK.
