Human Cargo
Two special concerts (Friday 13th, Saturday 14th May) to celebrate the publication of Human Cargo: Stories and songs of emigration, slavery and transportation, by Matthew Crampton.
Using folk song and story, this show traces paths through slavery, emigration, the Highland Clearances and convict transportation.
Written and presented by Matthew Crampton, with Chris Hayes and Jan North, aka The London Lubbers. This words-and-music show returns to the incredible acoustic of Heath Street Baptist Church.
The most recent performance of Human Cargo was sold out, with many turned away.
Both concerts at 7:30pm at the Heath Street Baptist Church, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th May.
