Romesh Ranganathan

Romesh burst onto the comedy circuit in 2010, gigging regularly at top venues all over the country. As well as turning in storming turns on a regular basis, he has also found time to reach the Latitude New Act Final 2010, The So You Think You're Funny? Final 2010 as well as coming runner up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off 2010. In 2015 Romesh starred in his own show called 'Asian Provocateur' (BBC Three) where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country. In 2016 the second series 'Mum's American Dream' was commissioned. He has forged a fearsome reputation with a set that combines cutting one liners with an acerbic take on the world around him. 'Extraordinarily hilarious' (Three Weeks) 'Plenty to enjoy in his ultra sardonic set' (Chortle) 'His ability to write bitingly fresh gags marks him out from the crowd... Ranganathan's punchlines are sharper and funnier than many of his peers' (The Guardian). Romesh Ranganathan was named in Ents24's top 5 hardest-working comedians of 2016.
