Yana and the Yeti

After premiering at Nordland Visual Theatre in Norway, the internationally acclaimed Pickled Image bring their new family show to Greenwich for two special performances.

It’s 1950, and with the looming threat of the Cold War a poor community on the edge of a Siberian forest find themselves cut off from civilization. Yana lives with her only living relative, her Aunt. One day she joins the other children of the village on a trip out into the snow but when she doesn’t return to the village that evening the alarm is raised. Whilst lost in the frozen landscape, Yana has a chance encounter with another child, a child scared and alone much like herself... but a child who knows the ways of the snow.
