He won a BAFTA for the ITV series 'The Sketch Show', wrote and starred in his own TV shows 'The Jim Tavare Show' (co-written with Ricky Gervais) and 'Jim Tavare Pictures Presents'.

A former advertising executive who turned to comedy when his unmarketable greetings card ideas got him the sack, Irishman Jarleth Regan is a jack of all trades and all round decent fella, the kind you could take home to meet your mum. Raised on the windswept plains of the Curragh of Kildare he dreamed of being a professional basketball player but shelved the ambition due to combination of injuries and on the early on-set of cop on. The NBAs loss has been stand-up comedy's gain.
'A subtle yet sublime helping of observational humour' (The Herald)
'Side-splitting stuff... causes near hysteria in the room' (The Metro)
'A refreshing and hilarious change of pace' (The Independent)
'While he's not as well-known as some Irish stand-ups, he's every bit as talented' (Sunday Express)
'He has a skilful way with words and a playful misplaced logic' (Chortle).
Jarlath Regan tour dates
Mark has been performing stand-up regularly since mid 2008 and has rapidly established himself as one of the most interesting and exciting young comics on the circuit.
Aside from regular gigs, he also runs and comperes his own night in Leeds, Gag Hole, which has quickly become one of the best alternative comedy events in the city. He has just returned from directing Leeds Tealights at the Edinburgh Fringe (Best Student Sketch Show 2010).
He is also half of double act Dregs with Max Dickens
