The Black Cat Cabaret: Dusty Limits, Vicky Butterfly, Laurie Hagen, David Armand, Chrisalys, Cabaret Rouge, Tom Baker, Michael Roulston, Laura London
"Café de Paris is transformed into a new bohemia, through which an apocalyptic accordionista leads a disparate coterie of artistes on a merry promenade.
The Black Cat Cabaret is a place to encounter modern performance in all its wondrous forms - from the sacred to the profane, the lyrical to the louche - with walkabout entertainment, fine dining and a spectacular and provocative stage show amidst the grandeur of London's most historic variety venue. It's where London's revellers come to rub shoulders and purr, as the elusive eponymous feline watches from the shadows...
The Black Cat Cabaret draws inspiration from the absinthe-soaked heyday of Montmartre's dark and daring cabaret underworld.
Compere beyond compare Dusty Limits smoothly guides the audience through a delicious sea of street singers and mad musicians, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, illusionists and delirious comics, ably assisted by resident dance troupe the exquisite Cabaret Rouge."
Info provided by the Event Organiser
Dusty Limits, also known as Dorian Black, is a singer, comic and compere. He has surprised and thrilled audiences from London to New York, Dublin to Berlin with his three-octave vocal range and darkly scintillating wit. He sings everything from Cole Porter to Portishead, often with the words changed, as well as his own original songs that deal with themes of mortality, addiction and the futility of love. Usually for laughs.
'Gloriously uncensored... unabashedly eloquent' (Three Weeks)
'... one of the foremost practitioners of the art of cabaret... if only the show was twice as long. Do. Not. Miss. This.' (The Scotsman).
