An official Channel 4 survey of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups Ever placed Stewart Lee at number 41. His mother, whom he loves dearly, thinks Tom O'Connor the better comedian, having seen him do a joke about a sardine on a cruise ship ten years ago. And he isn't even in the top 100...
'The funniest, most cliche-free comedian on the circuit' (Ricky Gervais).
'Superlative... Remains one of the best stand-ups in the country' (Metro)
'Marvellously funny: mordant, thoughtful and crafted' (Observer)
'There's a wealth of evidence to suggest that in the last few years, Lee has gone completely mad... More skilful and playful than ever' (The Guardian)
'What is exhilarating is how many surprises he still throws in and how deft his jumps are from one tone to another….invigorating' (The Times)
'He is... the only comedian who can get away with deconstructing and critiquing his own routines as he goes along and not be repellent. He, and his material, are simply that good' (The Independent).

Richard Dawkins is the former Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University (1995-2008). He is an evolutionary biologist, Fellow of the Royal Society and best-selling author of such acclaimed works as The Selfish Gene and The God Delusion.

Festival Of The Spoken Nerd is the brain child of stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, geek songstress Helen Arney and experiments guy Steve Mould. These wonderfully nerdy performers present a celebration of science, comedy and unashamed geekiness, with live experiments, audience participation, and occasional specially selected guest scientists and comedy headliners.
There's always time for questions at the end, and extra marks are given for showing your workings. Be warned, sometimes things do go BANG!
'Harnesses comedy to highlight what is fun - and funny - about science' (NewScientist.com)
'Wonderfully witty... What Top Gear would be like if it were about Science' (Chortle)
'Charm and perky curiosity is in its DNA’ (The Guardian)
'A riotously funny show... brimming with unashamed geekery' (Three Weeks)
'Immature, irreverent and a wonderfully imaginative way to present both comedy and science' (Broadway Baby).

Tony is a triple Chortle award winner and was a Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award 2012 nominee. As seen on Have I Got News For You, Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and more.

'Form-busting and hugely enjoyable' (The Times)
'Clever and blithely zany' (The Daily Telegraph)
'To see Tony Law is to inhale deep breaths of comedy oxygen' (The Herald)
'An ever-changing, hard-to-contain, force of nature' (The Guardian)
'A fine celebration of the absurd, full of laughs like no other... a top-notch comic who marries a powerful delivery with some deceptively ingenious material' (Chortle).
Tony Law was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2016.

London singer-songwriter now based in Bristol/Bath mixing bitter-sweet romance with wry comedy. Usually appearing as a solo artist, but occasionally performs with a cellist and backing vocalist. "Gavin Osborn writes minutely detailed, bittersweet story-songs on an acoustic guitar and sings them with a comic timing usually absent from the works of his anti-folk contemporaries" - Stewart Lee, Sunday Times.
Gavin Osborn tour dates
A great Leicester acoustic singer-songwriter, counting Billy Bragg amongst her fan base. She writes indie folk rock songs (a couple with an acoustic punk twist), plays the guitar and sings with a voice that has been described by listeners as similar to Laura Marling, Kate Nash and nothing you’ve ever heard before.
Grace Petrie tour dates
