This event has been and gone.
Swet Shop Boys (SSB) have arrived with Cashmere, the debut from Queens, New York’s Heems (Himanshu Suri, ex-Das Racist) and NW London’s Riz MC (Riz Ahmed). Both are prolific artists, actors and activists in their own right, now bringing their creative experience and the riches of their working class immigrant roots together. Rounding out the trio is British producer Redinho, providing the soundtrack for songs like their first single ‘T5’, where the MC's lament the discrimination they face as they amass frequent flyer miles while traveling the world for work.
A rapper, visual artist, record label owner, Punjabi-American, and native New Yorker, Himanshu "Heems" Suri launched his solo career while still a member of his old crew, Das Racist. Heems formed the alternative hip-hop group with some friends in 2008, the same year that he created the Greedhead Music label to release their music. Their defining moment came toward the end of the year as the single "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" went from quirky indie number to major hit in no time.

Riz MC (aka actor Riz Ahmed) makes sonically innovative and lyrically sharp music. He has topped underground music charts and held a residency at the Southbank Centre, been banned from as well as championed on national radio, supported Mos Def, Dizzee Rascal, and Massive Attack, and played prominent slots at Glastonbury, BBC Electric Proms, and US tours.
