Tim Hecker, Beatrice Dillon

Canadian composer, producer and sound artist Tim Hecker makes a welcome return to the Barbican following his set as part of the Bryce Dessner curated marathon weekend Mountains and Waves in 2015 and a sold-out show at St John’s in Hackney this May.

This autumn he will headline a triple-bill (with further line-up details tba), presenting material from his latest album, Love Streams – his first release on 4AD. Inspired by notions of 15th century choral scores transposed to an artificial intelligence-era language of digital resonance and bright synths, the new album mirrors the avant-classical orchestration and extreme electronic processing of his previous Virgins release, but is shaped into more melancholic textures.
