Ireland’s leading new music ensemble, Crash Ensemble is joined by vocalist Iarla O’Lionaird (The Gloaming, Afro Celt Sound System) in a unique encounter between traditional sean-nós songs and adventurous classical arrangements.
In the last 40 years, the boundless creativity of Kronos Quartet has brought them to collaborate with numerous artists from very different musical traditions – including Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man, Azeri master vocalist Alim Qasimov and Romanian gypsy band Taraf de Haïdouks.
Today’s exclusive new commission sees Kronos delve deep into the American folk songbook, as they team up for the first time with some of the most celebrated roots artists within the Nonesuch family.
