Featuring
Mogwai
Glasgow's critically acclaimed post-rock band, led by Stuart Braithwaite. Loved by the late John Peel, Mogwai put an emphasis on epic big scale music with an orchestral feel. Rich and luscious in its atmosphere and texture, here's a group that really will take you on a trip to somewhere else. Who needs vocals when instrumentals can be this powerful?

Four Tet
The solo electronic project of Kieran Hebden of post-rock band, Fridge. What you get here is a beguiling and baffling journey into sound; a mixture of folk-inflected electronica and lo-fi murmurings incorporating elements of jazz, techno and hip-hop. His first two releases were NME singles of the week and his 2005 album, Everything Ecstatic has secured him the title of King of folktronica.

Caribou
The artist formerly known as Manitoba, offering up a likeable blend of electronica and sunshine pop. Their live set sees them deliver a carnival-esque whirl of ridiculous melodies, effusive noise, stampeding beats alongside furiously harmonised vocals. Two drummers, visuals and whirling guitars and keyboards create a claustrophobic, mesmeric soundscape akin to My Bloody Valentine and the sprawling, bucolic tour de force, like early Mercury Rev.

James Holden
British techno sorcerer and psychedelic shaman James Holden is a man of many talents: zeitgeist-defining label boss, trend-setting producer, hugely in-demand monster remixer, and last but by no means least, he can count himself amongst that very modern breed of disc jockey with a special knack for layering seemingly divergent records with an unparalleled musical ear.

F*** Buttons
F*ck Buttons bring new sensibilities to the obscure art of noise. Using severely distorted children's keyboards, guitar, vocals and piezo contacts on metallic surfaces, they create a searing, painful yet passionate sound with interesting underlying aesthetics and a compelling stage presence.

Errors
'Post rockers you can dance to' (NME). Signed to Rock Action, the record label set up and run by Mogwai, the Glaswegian three-piece take elements of new-wave, electro, '90s rave, acid-house and make it their own along with the contemporary influences of purveyors of glitch electronica and IDM such as kid606, Boards of Canada and Fourtet. Errors are Simon Ward (guitar, keyboards, programming), Steev Livingstone (guitar, keyboards, programming) and James Hamilton (drums).

Nathan Fake
'Rather fab.... the hippest name to drop in dance/electronica circles at the mo'- Cardiff Underground. Norfolk's finest exponent of lushtronica and bedroom techno. Nathan’s first encounters with electronic music came via the radio (hearing the likes of Aphex Twin and Orbital) and reading about the equipment that they used in magazines. This was the stimulus for him to buy some gear and begin his own sonic experiments.
