Die Meistersinger

Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg is one of Wagner's most famous opera's depicting the competition of Germany's greatest signers for Eva Pogner's hand in marriage.

Originally a four and a half hour opera, co-founder and artistic director Ella Marchment has adapted this work into a shorter streamlined play, and dragged it forwards in time to WWII to directly challenge the difficult relationsip between Hitler and Wagner.

This is the first time this opera has been performed as a play/opera.
