Madeline Bell

Though born in the USA, Madeline Bell moved to London in the early 60’s as a result of her involvement with the widely acclaimed show “Black Nativity”. Her clear, powerful, soulful voice was heard with the likes of Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Scott Walker, Long John Baldry, Joe Cocker, and Elton John, but probably her best known association at this time was with the iconic vocalist Dusty Springfield, with whom she worked for many years. In the late 60’s and early 70’s Madeline finally achieved stardom herself as the lead singer with “Blue Mink”, releasing 7 top ten singles and attracting a world wide following. Madeline will be celebrating her 75th Birthday at the 606 backed by Tommy Blaize and members of the Strictly Come Dancing house band.
