St. Jude the Obscure invite you to join them for an evening of festive winter beauty in St Bride’s Church on Saturday 9th December 2017.
St. Jude the Obscure – Adéle Emmas and Christian Sandford - produce a distinct brand of 'Electronic Pop Art' born from the ashes of Bird and Feral Love. In the short time since forming they've already received support from Clash, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, and BBC 6 Music.
This is the duo's first ever headline gig as St. Jude the Obsure, and on the night they'll be joined by a festive selection box of music and spoken word.
Fresh from the successful launch of his Full of Wonder EP, the ethereal Astles will be taking to the stage. Influenced by artists such as Jeff Buckley, and John Martyn, 18 year old Daniel won Merseyrail Sound Station 2016 and was chosen as a LIMF Academy artist in the same year.
More music will be provided by the totally unique A Lovely War. Part Antony and the Johnsons's wonky serenity, part Belle and Sebastian's determined introversion, A Lovely War is perhaps an acquired taste, yet the musicianship is awash in the signs of an early supremacy in the art of alt-pop perfection.
Completing the lineup is spoken word from the dark melancholic Matthew Thomas Smith - a perfect addition to the evening.
