Dubbed the ‘UK’s queen of jazz-fusion’, critically acclaimed and supremely talented singer-songwriter and producer Emily Saunders returns to the Music Room for International Women’s Day 2025 with her spellbinding set of original songs. Emily’s music has hit the Top 10 in international streaming charts including the UK and the US, and earned multiple 4-star reviews from papers including The Guardian, Evening Standard and The Independent.
Presenting Moon Shifts Oceans – her most powerful work to date and a heady mix of future-jazz inspired melodic hooky basslines and riffs, edges of broken beat, and Brazilian-infused grooves – Emily seamlessly blends virtuosity and adventurous musicianship of the highest order, creating a unique fusion. Her soaring, enchanting voice playfully dances over her infectious tunes and bold music-production, all with an irresistibly catchy pop sensibility, effortlessly weaving its way into the listener’s soul.
What sets Saunders apart is that her musical skill in front of the mic is matched with talent behind it: as composer, producer and musical director. A powerhouse of change in the music industry – having led anti-harassment campaigns and founded initiatives to support independent artists – she’ll take to the stage on the eve of International Women’s Day and showcase just why she’s an inspiration to so many.
