Guild Sound Collective

The Guild Sound Collective is a student at ensemble the University of Liverpool conducted by Rod Skipp. It is open to all, regardless of age or affiliation with the University. The group plays a variety of repertoire, from classical to contemporary, experimental to multimedia.

Some of the guiding ideas behind the ensemble are:

* A focus on chamber playing, providing opportunities which are not commonly encountered in orchestral sectional playing.
* Performing works using multimedia, such as works with video, electronics or bands.
* Supporting local composers/artists. Performing premieres by University of Liverpool undergraduates and postgraduate composers.
* Democratic repertoire. Provide the chance for members to decide repertoire choices through online polls.
