The city-wide explosion of music, art and culture over the last five years has nourished a fertile ground of innovation, integration and celebration - and Liverpool Disco Festival 3 is one such expression of this immense Scouse spirit which continues to grow from strength to strength.
May’s multi-venue takeover drew crowds from all over the country, road-blocking the Baltic Triangle with a weekend that celebrated the legacy of underground dance music inspired by Chicago and New York City. Thousands of feet stomped in delight as legendary Stateside DJs were joined by Europe’s celebrated disco diggers, and jaws dropped at the spectacular production and incredible live murals created during the party.
Dimitri From Paris
The legendary and always outstanding house-meister from The Roxy and Chemistry clubs in Amsterdam, and Paris. Dimitri from Paris has forged an international reputation and is a true French Icon. He has not only DJ'd in the best clubs across the globes but also with fashion designers such as Chanel, JP Gaultier and Yves Saint-Laurent. His first album Sacrebleu sold more than 300,000 copies and since then he has gone on to to selling in excess of 500,000 with his 'A Night at the Playboy Mansion' and 'Disco Forever' collections.

Chicago house veteran Jamie 3:26 started DJing way back in 1987. With a deep vinyl collection that covers every inch of the disco, house and soul spectrum, he regularly plays with the likes of Mr Scruff, The Black Madonna, Theo Parrish, Mike Huckaby and Marcel Vogel. But it’s not just his DJ career that demands a huge amount of respect; his excellent productions have found a home on the likes of Rush House, Local Talk, Lumberjacks in Hell and of course his own imprint 3:26.

Initially inspired by the 2 Tone sound, the now legendary Ninja Tune DJ, Mr Scruff is famed for his awesome hip-hop sound, his epic six-hour sets and his sense of the comic. His sets are a mixture of deck-related wizardry and animated tom-foolery and will leave even the most hardened of anti-dance music critics grinning and boogieing the night away.
