Friends 35th Anniversary Tour: Shalamar

"Shalamar are pleased to announce a huge UK tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the bestselling "Friends" album
These dates represent the biggest set of UK shows the band have performed since the original tour in 1982 and they're coming to Lincoln for the 1st time ever to The Engine Shed.
'We know theres a lot of people in the area who are into 80's soul music'said Jeffrey Daniels,'And we're coming to have the biggest party ever, I think the closest we came to Lincoln in 1982 was Nottingham so we have some catching up to do!!'
In 1982 “Friends” became ‘THE’ Album for the UK Soul family to own . It went Platinum in the Uk, featured 4 Top 20 hit singles - “A Night To Remember”, “Friends”, “There It Is” &“I Can Make You Feel Good”.
The band literally took the UK by storm after a Top of the Pops performance by Jeffrey Daniel who demonstrated the first ‘moonwalk’ on European TV screens.
Shalamar also perform classic songs such as “Take That To The Bank”, “The Second Time Around”, “Make That Move”, “I Owe You One”, “Dead Giveaway”, “Right In The Socket”, “Full Of Fire”, “Sweeter As The Days Go By”, “Over And Over” and “This Is For The Lover In You”.
A new single "The Real Thing" will add spice and be the group’s first release in over 30 years to feature Howard & Jeffrey and the first with Carolyn.
The bands live show was voted 2nd only to Stevie Wonders Hyde Park show in the 2016 Soul Survivor Awards
With 25 million record sales under their belts, original members Howard Hewett and Jeffrey Daniel, along with the newest member Carolyn Griffey drive audience’s crazy with a dynamic blend of soulful funky feel good music!"
