Comedy 42: Stephen Bailey, Chris Purchase, Adam Bloom
"The award winning Comedy 42 standup show is back at McKenzie's Restaurant in Lichfield for another incredibly hilarious show. Not to mention McKenzie's will be supplying their, also award winning, signature delicious meals if you choose that ticket. Can't wait to see you there!
Stephen’s winning comedy and charming personality have propelled him to starring in a number of varied TV projects. Most recently, Stephen made his presenting debut as host of Channel 5’s newest reality show ‘Celebs On The Farm’ which delighted audiences when it aired in summer 2018. He can also be seen weekly as the resident agony uncle on ITV1’s ‘Zoe Ball On Saturday & Sunday’.
Adding to his extensive back catalogue of TV and radio work, Stephen has also made appearances on Channel 5's ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’, Comedy Central’s ‘Live at The Comedy Store’ & 'Roast Battle', ITV2’s ‘Safeword’, ‘CelebAbility’, ITV's 'Weekend with Aled Jones' and BBC One's 'Sunday Morning Live'. Stephen made his acting debut (and his dream come true) in Coronation Street in 2018.
He has supported Katherine Ryan & Jenny Eclair on their UK tours and is embarking on a brand new tour in spring 2019 with his incredible show ‘Our Kid’ – a story full of Northern warmth, some working-class guilt and a bit of blue.
Following a sold-out month at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2018, Stephen is hitting the road between February and April 2019 armed with his super sharp wit and side-splitting stories about his roots and finding out who he is! Tickets for ‘Our Kid’ are on sale from Friday 14th September here

Stephen Bailey is a comedian, television personality and writer, whose friendly and open brand of gossipy humour has made him one of the most sought after acts in UK comedy today.
His sharp, warm and sassy take on life tunes into our day-to-day lives with his razor sharp wit and intelligence as he tackles the art of conversation. With so much social media have we forgotten how to just sit and engage with each other on a human level? Are we still able to express ourselves in more than 140 characters?
As well as his live stand up, Stephen is also high in demand for his TV and radio work with regular appearances on ITV's Weekend with Aled Jones and Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side. He has also appeared on ITV2's Safeword and CelebAbility, ITVBe's Kate's Wardrobe Secrets, W's Celebrity Advice Bureau & Channel 5’s It's Not Me, It's You.
‘He has charisma, he has his own style, he has a wicked line in material and the ability to go off-piste with crowd work that is achingly funny’ (One 4 Review).
'Refreshing to watch, a comic who is so beautifully comfortable in his self that the show he has created is rich with positivity' (The New Current, 2014).
"When it comes to being funny, he's just got it." (ScotsGay)
"Bailey is an absolute crowdpleaser, getting the room howling with laughter.” (Chortle)
