What promises to be one of the highlights of 2020, Kasabian have announced a massive hometown show at Leicester’s Victoria Park for June 20th, six years on from their triumphant first show at the venue. It’s their first outdoor UK show since their massive Isle of Wight headline set and their first UK show since a raucous Brixton Academy set in 2018.
Currently working on new music, the UK’s best and biggest rock band, are eager to return to Leicester next summer. Kasabian main man Serge Pizzorno recently released his critically acclaimed trippy solo record under the moniker The S.L.P. Newly revitalised, he is looking forward to making studio magic once again with Kasabian: singer Tom Meighan, bassist Chris Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter.
Kasabian have five UK #1 albums to their name and have sold over 5.5 million albums worldwide. They’ve won a Brit, seven NME awards, four Q Awards and have headlined Glastonbury Festival, as well as V Festival, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds Festival and numerous festivals worldwide.
Serge said:‘We’re absolutely buzzing to be able to put on Solstice II in our home town of Leicester. Anyone who came last time would know how special it was and to get the opportunity to do it again is beyond a dream’.
A glorious synth-tinged melting pot of indie rock that will caress the eardrums. Formed in Leicester while still at school, they took their name from Linda Kasabian, one of the members of the Charles Manson cult. Their electronica-indie rock fusion akin to Primal Scream combined with the rough vocal style and unrepentant Mancunian swagger of Oasis has firmly established them as more than just a flash in the pan and injected a large dose of energy back into the Brit-rock scene.

Very little has stood in the way of young North Shields artist Sam Fender and his rapid ascent since 2018. Having toured the UK and Europe relentlessly, building himself a loyal, passionate army of fans, Sam writes honestly and candidly about subjects of social and generational significance, broadly drawn from his experiences growing up in the North East of England. Sam wraps his pertinent words in rousing, propulsive, arena-sized guitar anthems and delivers them directly with a cavernous, powerful vocal.
