Fire In Your Heart Folk Club
Grace Petrie and The Robot Needs Home collective present a new monthly folk club featuring some of the most talented and exciting new blood in the folk world.
Fire In Your Heart is held every second Thursday of the month and celebrates the understated beauty of the traditional folk club: telling tales and ideas through songs, and the comradeship that comes from sharing them. Transcending the labels of 'traditional' and 'contemporary', Fire in Your Heart brings a diverse breadth of talent to Upstairs at the Western from across the genre.
Compered by Leicester's homegrown folk favourite Grace Petrie, (BBC Radio 4 The Now Show), Fire in Your Heart will be headlined by folk’s brightest stars, as well as showcasing local talent with a number of open mic slots. The night is recorded and released as a free podcast every month.
