Quirky singles like 'Photoshop Handsome' have seen comparisons to XTC, Wild Beasts and Django Django, but the band also have a sound all of their own. Their 2011 debut release 'Man Alive' was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and they have received three nominations for an Ivor Novello award. After an initial level of cult success, they broke through in 2013 with second album 'Arc' which reached no.5 on the UK album charts, followed by 2015's 'Get To Heaven' at no.7 and 2017's 'A Fever Dream' at no.5.

A 60s inspired pop / post-punk / garage / surf trio from Halifax. Keen lovers of DIY and the Riot Grrrl scene, they met at a house party and formed the band, despite two of them having never played instruments before! They bring to mind classic DIY girl bands like Marine Girls and Dolly Mixture, along with the lo-fi alt-rock sounds of the Pixies and Breeders. Their lilting harmonies, jangling guitars and pounding wave-like bass sounds have been winning them devotees from across the UK.

'The Blinders are a three-piece alternative group from Doncaster who are now based in Manchester. The band attempts to be in your face at all times, smelting loud and visceral political punk rock with enigmatic, psychedelic poetry and tones. Their diverse, unique combination of raw music creates the ‘Punkadelic’ sound which forces the trio to give everything they’ve got in their frenzied performances, leaving only blood-stained instruments behind.'
