Leeds International Concert Season: Best Of Brass
Under the baton of newly appointed Resident Conductor Leigh Baker, the Brighouse & Rastrick Band presents a programme of music for both celebration and remembrance.
The concert includes iconic music from Star Wars composed by Williams, Piazzolla’s lively Libertango and Gershwin’s jazz-inspired ballad Someone to Watch Over Me featuring a trombone solo by Ryan Watkins. The concert also includes the stunning hymn Deep Harmony arranged by tonight’s conductor Leigh Baker, the traditional Irish song The Girl I left Behind Me and Code’s showpiece Zelda presenting Kyle Lawson as cornet solo.
